Hahahahahahaha.

“But according to the search service, he said, “people are at least as interested in group sex and orgies as they are in apple pie.””

why are they separate? why can’t people have apple pie at an orgy? no apple pie makes it an unamerican orgy. maybe all of the search terms are orgy related.

Goe, missing the point of an orgy where nobody eats pie.

The truth is “community standards” is lawyer-speak for “your grandmother wouldn’t like that”.

wait wait wait, what KIND of apple pie? Are we talking dutch, with that sort of crumbly stuff on top, or the lattice thing, or what? because that would shift the balance for me one way or the other.

Clearly, these people have not seen that infamous scene involving the pie in American Pie. Man, talk about being typecast…

I have apple pie already. I don’t need to search Google for it. Orgy, on the other hand I don’t have. In which case, according the the article, I search for it more… 🙂

“How many times you do something doesn’t necessarily speak to standards and values,” he said.

I’d say how many times you do something is very relevant to standards and values; critically, whether you do something zero times, or more. If you maintain that something is obscene, atrocious, or illegal at least once, and then indulge in that very same obscene, atrocious, or illegal thing at least once.. well, your core values must have very little trouble with such notions as inconsistency, hipocrisy, or being a self-defined criminal!

bad habits are habits nonetheless, and it doesn’t make a person a hypocrite for saying that they are not acceptable behaviors while having them. it’d actually be quite easy to fashion an argument that only people who actively participate in these activities could have enough knowledge to say that they are in violation of community standards.

and since this thread has devolved into a ‘anyone who disagrees with me is obviously retarded’ discussion, i will raise the general demeanor of discourse with a single well-chosen word.

    BOOBIES!

Goe, will fight evil for food or nookie.

Hmmm. more people search for ‘nascar’ than ‘orgy’. This suggests a possible untapped market for a Nascar MMO!

Wait…could we make the Internet explode by making a site which featured apple pie orgies at Nascar races?

Wow, what an earth-shattering conclusion they came to.

It’s almost like if you want an apple pie, you might actually go *get* an apple pie. As for an orgy, however, it seems that the internet and a free hand will suffice.

    Who knew?
